An unspayed female cat, her mate and all their offspring, producing an average of 2.8 surviving kittens per litter at a rate of two litters a year adds up quickly... in 8 years = 2,072,514 cats!

An unspayed female dog, her mate and all of their puppies, if none are ever neutered or spayed.....can produce in 6 years = 67,000 dogs!
